Stunning video showed the moment a cloud of dust and rain stopped the Islamic State group from entering Israel.
According to The U.K. Daily Mirror, many said the phenomenon was God’s intervention.
The giant storm appeared on the morning of Dec. 8 and successfully barred the radical Islamists from reaching “the Promised Land.”
“A weather phenomenon occurred at 8 a.m. Thursday on the other side of the Syrian border, in the same place where ISIS attacked Israel,” Israel News Online wrote on Facebook. “This strange storm of what appears to be dust, cloud and rain did NOT cross the border fence into Israel. It sat like a barrier between ISIS and Israel.”
While no one can truly know for sure whether it was simply a weather phenomenon or an act of God, one thing is for sure: Phenomena such as this have happened before in Israel’s past.
In the Bible’s Old Testament, God led the chosen people, the Israelites, out of their slavery in Egpyt, and guided them to the Promised Land with a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire.
Exodus 13:21-22 states that “the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.”
Throughout the Old Testament, God promised to protect Israel and its chosen people.
In Isaiah 43, God said: “But now the Lord Who made you, O Jacob, and He Who made you, O Israel, says, ‘Do not be afraid. For I have bought you and made you free. I have called you by name. You are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not flow over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The fire will not destroy you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, Who saves you.”
Apparently those promises include protection from radical Islamic terrorists, too.
